- The exercises in this app — breathing, affirmations, journaling, and bilateral stimulation — are practices for everyday negative self-talk: the nagging inner voice, the cringe loop, the old criticism on repeat.
- The bilateral stimulation in this app is inspired by techniques used in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), but it is not EMDR and is not a substitute for working with a licensed, EMDR-trained therapist.
- If a memory brings up real distress when you touch it — panic, flashbacks, feeling unsafe — stop. That is territory for a trained professional, and working with one goes a level deeper than any app can.
